Emmet County Fairgrounds Petoskey , MI
United States
45° 22' 5.9988" N , 84° 59' 7.188" W Michigan, USA
Join us July 6, 7 & 8th, 2017 in Petoskey, Michigan, on the shores of Lake Michigan for 3 days of camping, vendor shopping, seminars and door prizes. Cool nights, great riding, plenty of other lodging in the area and many great roads to explore. You’ll be less than an hour away from the Great Mackinac Bridge.
Scenic Rides
One of the most scenic rides is M-119 "Tunnel of Trees". Although only 20 miles long, this road hugs the eastern shoreline of lake Michigan through a dense forest. On one side you get a glimpse of old summer cabin homes and on the other side, you see the glorious Lake Michigan shoreline. Lotsa twisties!! Heading north, the route leads to Cross Village, home of a unique turn of the century field stone and driftwood Polish Pub called Leggs Inn which sits on a bluff over Lake Michigan.
We will have two local bands during the rally.
On Friday evening, we will be entertained by the Jelly Roll Blues Band. They know how to get the crowd dancing.
On Saturday evening, get ready to reminisce with the Up North Big Band. A very popular, 20 piece Swing Band playing sounds from the 30's. 40's and 50's and a few polkas trown in for fun. Visit their website.
Food and Spirits
The Charlevoix Lions Club will serve up their World Famous lemon grilled BBQ Chicken on Friday evening and Pasta Fare on Saturday. Friday's meal will include 1/2 a chcken, a couple of sides, chips and a pop or water. Saturday's meal will be pasta with two sauce options, Italian sausage, salad and garlic bread. To help the vendor determine quanitites for the evenings, we request you select which meal(s) you want when you pre-register. The Petoskey area Jaycees will provide libations of local brews and wine.
Camping is included in your admission fee. There's a lot of nice grassy areas for your tent and motorcycle. RV camping will also be avaiable when you register.
Local motels are listed below. Contact them directly. July is a busy time in the Petoskey area. It's best to book early to save your room.

The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America is pleased to announce the 45th BMW MOA International Rally – the rally’s sapphire anniversary - will be held at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 13th through the 15th, 2017.
Utah is a rider’s wonderland with 21 national parks and monuments, 40 state parks, and seven national forests. Easy day rides from the Fairpark will take you into the mountains to Park City, the Utah Olympic Park, and the year-round resorts of Alta, Solitude, and Snowbird.
Salt Lake City is located between the Great Salt Lake and the west side of the spectacular Wasatch Mountains. About 530 miles west of Denver, 765 miles east of Portland and 425 miles northeast of Las Vegas, it is often called the crossroads of the west. Hosting the 2002 Winter Olympic Games infused the city with an international flavor, while still maintaining a friendly, “small city” feel.
The rally site is spread over 65 acres and close to the intersection of I-15 and I-80 for easy access. A light rail system terminal just outside the grounds provides easy transportation to thousands of hotel rooms, hundreds of restaurants and numerous quality micro breweries.
To find out more about this great state, check out the book “Ride Utah!” by Dave Magdiel. At over 300 pages it lists suggested routes, places to stay and eat, and provides a great appreciation of your riding opportunities going to, and returning from, the rally. Information about the Utah State Fairpark can be found at utahstatefairpark.com, and information about the greater Salt Lake area can be found at Visit Salt Lake on their web site at visitsaltlake.com.
The Salt Lake rally site is located in the MOA’s Rally Zone 1. For those wanting to know more about these zones or about the rally site selection requirements, visit the BMW MOA website at bmwmoa.org. More information and FAQs about the 2017 Salt Lake Rally will be published beginning in January through BMW MOA media and at bmwmoa.org.
Questions can be directed to Rally Chair Greg Feeler.
