                                        BMW CLUB of DAYTONA CALENDAR 



* Breakfast Ride Saturday October 27,  2018,  to Appleton's Restaurant,  Lake Mary,  Departs at 8:30AM,  from McDonalds,  Madeline & Clyde Morris Blvd.

* Various Biketoberfest Activities in the Area October 18th through 21st,  Daytona Area.


* Sons of Speed Board Track Racing,  New Smyrna Speedway,  October19th,  Volunteers Needed.

* AMCA Sunshine Chapter Fall Meeting and Ride,  9AM October 28th,  Gray Beard's Cycle Barn,  Mims.


* BMW November Club Meeting Thursday,  November 8th,  6:30PM,  at Louie's Pizza.

* BMW Club 2018 Dues Renewals will be mailed to members who did not renew at the October Meeting. 


* Vintage Bike Breakfast Ride every Friday and Sunday at 9 AM,  departing from the Cabbage Patch.  Modern bikes welcome,  but must ride at the rear for safety.


* NSB Car Show,  Canal Street,  5 to 9 PM,  second Saturday of the Month.

                                                      BMW Club Meetings


The BMW Club of Daytona has regularly scheduled meetings the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. The scheduled BMW Club meetings are usually held at Louie's Pizza House,  1347 Beville Rd,  South Daytona,  32119 (this is just East of the Beville & Clyde Morris Intersection).  


Directions to Louie’s Pizza House from the intersection of Beville and Nova Roads are:  West on Beville Road to Clyde Morris Blvd.  Make a "U Turn  and Louie's is on the Right just before the Auto Parts Store.

The Next regularly scheduled  BMW Club Meeting is November 8,  2018,  at Louie's Pizza House.

The BMW Club meetings for the rest of the year will be at Louie's Pizza House with the exception of the Christmas Party,  which will be at Gimpel's,  803 Gatepark Drive,  Unit 101,  Daytona Beach,  32114.

       -The Routes that are given for each Club Ride are general and we do not always follow them exactly.  They are primarily so people will know the general route we will ride,  and they also can be used if someone gets separated from the group.

       - Check your email 1 hour before departure time for a cancellation message if the weather looks questionable for a ride.

       - Let Van Singley or Gerry Harris (386-235-7024/386-763-0010) know no later than 1 hour before a ride departure time if you are going to join the Ride in route,  or meet us at the destination.  We call ahead for reservations and need an accurate head count.

* REPORT / ACTIVITIES - We had 28 Members and 1 Guest at the October Meeting and Casey McDevitt won the 50/50. 

      Bruce Cockcroft,  Vice President of the BMWNEF Club again reminded us that the Winter Rally at Camp Blanding,  January 18-20,  is now open for early registration at their Web-site.  Register early since attendance is limited to about 500 people and it filling up fast..    

            Chris from Euro Cycles gave us an update on Biketoberfest activities, special promotions and Rides at the shop. There are also numerous Discounts and Promotions available,  such as 10% discounts for BMW of Daytona Club Members on labor this month.   When you are shopping be sure to ask what promotions are available. They are also having BMW Corp Demo Truck at the shop from Oct 17 - 21st,  including the new F650 and 750GS Twins during Biketoberfest.            

     Members should also check the BMW Shop Website for events which include free food, test drives of various types of motorcycles,  and Moto GP events on the big screen.

Next Sunshine Chapter Meeting - 
October 28th at
Gray Beard's cycle barn 

Mark your calendars and set your alarm clock and join the Sunshine Chapter on October 28th for the fall ride and chapter meeting.

       The meeting will be at Gray Beards Cycle Barn

Start your morning off at 9:00 a.m. with a donut and cup of coffee at the meet and greet before the ride. It will be kick stands up at 10:00 a.m. with a scenic and relaxing ride through Volusia county led by our own Van Singley.

After the ride there will be a catered lunch at noon for Chapter members before the fall meeting which will start at 2:00 p.m.

Start the rally season off right by joining the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida at their 36th Annual Winter Rally, "Florida's Coolest Rally". Held south of Jacksonville, near Starke, Florida at the beautiful Camp Blanding Joint Training Center. Friday night is our "dogs and brats" dinner with all the trimmings and Saturday is our semi-famous steak dinner. Camping, door prizes, local rides, seminars and much more. Enjoy camping along the shores of beautiful Kingsley Lake, a roaring camp fire (seen from outer space) in the campground and camaraderie with like minded riders. All riders are welcome. Registration is open and attendance is limited to the first 500 registrations, Reservations are going fast so sign up now if you want a spot.  Van Singley will be doing an Airhead Maintenance Seminar at the Rally
